Quick Reference Guide
Set Up Telephone Connect your telephone to the network first and then—only if the telephone display is blank—connect it to an AC outlet using the included power adapter.
Making Calls
Answering Calls Pick up the handset or press SPEAKER/HEADSET.
Hanging Up In speakerphone mode, press SPEAKER/HEADSET; otherwise, place the handset back in the cradle.
To Place a Call On Hold Press the HOLD softkey.
To Mute a Call Press the MUTE softkey.
Adding Entries to Phonebook
Caller ID (CID) The ID of the other party is automatically displayed on your telephone's LCD.
Redial Pick up the handset or press SPEAKER/HEADSET, then press DIAL/REDIAL twice to place the last call again.
Dialing from the Phonebook Press the BOOK softkey, find an entry with the ^ and v softkeys, then dial it by pressing the DIAL softkey or DIAL/REDIAL.
Dialing a SIP URI from the Keypad Press the URI softkey, enter a URI with the keypad, then dial it by pressing the DIAL softkey or DIAL/REDIAL.
Dialing a Telephone Number from the Keypad Enter a telephone number and then press the DIAL softkey or DIAL/REDIAL to place the call. If your telephone has been configured to use a dial plan, the call is placed automatically when you have entered enough digits.
Call Waiting While you are in a call, a short beep indicates that someone is calling you. To answer the new, incoming call, press CALL 1/2. To disable call waiting for the next call, press *70 while your telephone is offhook.
Transferring a call While you are in a call, press TRANSFER, dial the other party, and hang up.
Consultative Transfer While you are in a call, press CALL 1/2, dial the other party, talk to them, press TRANSFER, then hang up.
Conferencing Transfer While you are in a call, press CALL 1/2, dial the other party, press CONFERENCE after he or she answers, talk to everybody at the same time, then hang up to transfer the call.
Call Return Pick up the handset (or press SPEAKER/HEADSET) and dial *69 to automatically call the last caller.
Per Call Blocking Pick up the handset (or press SPEAKER/HEADSET), dial *67 to block your Caller ID, then dial the number.
Voicemail The SPEAKER/HEADSET indicator blinks when you have voicemail. To retrieve your voicemail or otherwise access the voicemail server at any time—assuming you have configured your telephone with a voicemail server—pick up the handset (or press SPEAKER/HEADSET) and press the VM softkey or dial *99.
Conferencing Call the first person, then to bring each additional person into the conference, press CALL 1/2, call the next person, and press CONFERENCE after he or she answers.
Using a Headset Plug headset into jack, enable headset support on the Advanced page of the website,
then press SPEAKER/HEADSET until
Sending an Instant Message Press MENU/BACK, press the IM softkey, press the WRITE softkey , enter message, press the ENTER softkey, and dial the recipient.
Reading an Instant Message Press MENU/BACK, press the IM softkey, press the READ softkey. Use the ^ and v softkeys to scroll through your messages.
Setting an Alarm Press MENU/BACK, then press these softkeys: SETUP, CONFG, TIME, ALARM, and ADD. Enter the alarm time, press the AM/PM softkey as needed, press the SET softkey, enter the date, press the DAILY or ONCE as desired, then press the SAVE softkey.
Setting a Reminder Press MENU/BACK, then press these softkeys: SETUP, CONFG, TIME, REMD, and ADD. Enter the reminder message, press the BEEP or RING softkeys depending on what sound you want for a reminder, and press the SET softkey. Lastly, enter the reminder time, press the AM/PM softkey as needed, press the SET softkey, enter the date, press the DAILY or ONCE softkey as desired, then press the SAVE softkey.
